Tasting Experience
In our tasting room, we provide tasting notes for all of our available wines. Choose which ones you’d like to taste, or have one of our wine tenders help you make your selection(s).
We offer flights, wine by the glass, and bottle sales. Traditional Bar tastings are not offered at this time. Please know that on busy days, the five flight tastings are not offered, so staff can serve guests in a timely manner.
Bottles can be recorked and taken with you if you’re unable to finish it (said no one ever!). You can purchase our wine glasses for $3 (shirts and other merch for sale too).
White Wines
Four Blonds 2021
Off-dry white wine blend. Four estate-grown hybrid grapes: Vidal Blanc, Traminette, Seyval Blanc, & Chardonel. Light & crisp with a hint of tropical fruit.
vignoles 2022
Dry white pronounced veen-yole and not widely grown in Virginia. Trace of almonds on the nose; hint of orange peel and green pineapple (or even candied lemons).
BALEEN BEAUTY 2022 — NEW RELEASE!
Dry Chardonel-Vidal Blanc blend. Delightful citrus & floral aromas (like honeysuckle blossom) influence the palette before faint notes of lemongrass settle in.
Viognier 2022
Dry wine. Soft mouthfeel with delicate floral aromas followed by subtle apricot & a trace of citrus.
Chardonel Reserve 2021
Dry and oak aged for 21 months, creating a delicate creaminess with a balanced citrus medley; finish is lively.
Cuvée De Calamité 2022
Semi sweet field blend of four estate hybrid grapes (Traminette, Chardonel, Seyval Blanc & Vidal Blanc). Hints of orange blossoms on the nose; flavors of apricot and baking spices followed by a citrus peel-like.
Chardonel 2019
Semi-sweet, steel aged & quite expressive. Honeysuckle, banana, & hibiscus quickly excite the nose. Then melon, peach & fig flavors complete the full-bodied, smooth tasting experience. Chardonel has the most awards of all our white wines.
Rosé Wine
Rip Rap Rosé 2021
Dry. Cabernet Sauvignon & Chardonel blend. Notes of cranberry & kiwi.
Red Wines
RED REACH 2021
Off-Dry and a great picnic/aperitif wine that can be enjoyed at room temp or chilled. This blend of Chardonel, Chambourcin & Cabernet Sauvignon is light-bodied, fruit-forward with notes of cranberry & pomegranate.
chambourcin 2021
Dry. Easygoing, light-bodied wine with pronounced dried fruit flavors like fig/raisin. Finish includes essence of black currant.
petit verdot 2019
Dry and oak aged. Medium-bodied red, containing refined herbal & dried fruit notes. Soft tannins lead to smooth finish.
Sweet Shamrock Red 2020 — Vintage almost gone.
Chambourcin grapes aged in steel; bright, red fruit flavors; subtle earthy notes; soft finish; best served slightly chilled.
Raspberry bliss (NV)
Dessert wine that's aromatic & luscious. It's bursting with flavors of freshly picked raspberries. Mildly tart finish. Best served chilled and drunk as an aperitif or with dessert. Tastings offered; bottles sales only.
